Assistant Lecturer Project Management (f/m/d)
as soon as possible in part-time (25 %) and limited for 18 months.
The Institute Institute of Medical Genetics and Applied Genomics is an integral part of patient care and research at the University Hospital Tübingen which is a highly specialized clinical center with more than 420,000 patients treated per year. The Institute currently employs more than 150 staff members, coordinates the Center for Rare Diseases (ZSE Tübingen), contributes to several European Reference Networks (ERNs) for rare diseases and is one of four DFG-funded competence centers for Next Generation Sequencing in Germany. Our facilities are equipped with state of the art technologies for NGS and single cell sequencing as well as large-scale compute clusters for NGS analysis. With a highly motivated group of bioinformaticians, biologists and clinicians the Institute has established the broad application of whole genome sequencing in clinical diagnostics.
Primary responsibilities for the position include:
- Develop and deliver lectures, workshops, and tutorials on project management principles, methodologies, and tools tailored specifically for biomedical sciences
- Create and update course materials to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with the latest industry standards
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and engagement among students
- Record educational videos, design lectures and write scripts to support learning objectives
- Design and review evaluations of the module to assess student learning outcomes and course effectiveness
- Coordinate interactions with research, industrial, and consulting groups to organize workshops and seminars that enhance learning experiences
- Participate in the education and mentorship of other staff and collaborators through direct interaction and presentations
- Write reports, conceptualize educational manuscripts, prepare and submit educational publications to contribute to the field of project management in biomedical sciences
Characteristics and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular and Cell biology, Project Management or related field
- Be familiar with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum
- Experience in managing projects within biomedical sciences or a similar field is highly advantageous
- Possess the ability to design engaging educational materials and deliver effective lectures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
