Industrial Designer - REF (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities
- Lead the design process for built-in refrigerators, focusing on aesthetics, functionality, and user experience to create innovative and appealing products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and marketing, to ensure designs meet technical feasibility, consumer needs, and market trends.
- Develop sketches, 3D models, and prototypes of product concepts, integrating feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve designs.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and ensure that products are intuitive and user-friendly.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and design technologies to incorporate the latest innovations into your work.
- Present design concepts and rationale to internal teams and management, articulating the benefits and vision behind each design.
- Ensure that all designs comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards while aligning with Midea's sustainability goals.
Your profile
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product design, preferably in the consumer electronics or home appliance industries.
- Proficiency in design software and rendering tools to create high-quality visual presentations.
- Strong understanding of ergonomics, materials, and manufacturing processes as they apply to product design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Creative and innovative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
