About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Devops Engineer to join our Orchestration team. In this role, you will:
- Maintain the orchestration platform.
- Collaborate with vendor support to resolve issues and improve automation.
- Train teams and provide documentation.
- Work closely with development, system, and network administrators.
- Ensure stability and scalability of private and hybrid cloud environments.
Main responsibilities
Operations (Ops):
- Collaborate with Vendor Support to fix defects/bugs in orchestration tools.
- Participate in: Monitoring and resolution processes
- Escalations and troubleshooting
- Perform first-level analysis of failed tasks/workflows/jobs.
- Validate blueprint and playbook compliance with design standards and naming conventions.
- Train other teams in orchestration usage.
- Identify and fill documentation gaps (usage, interfaces, operation manuals).
- Maintain the Scrum story board (track failures, create tasks/stories).
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies.
Development (Dev):
- Create Ansible Playbooks for: Provisioning
- Configuration
- Deployment
- Patching
- Backup and recovery
- Deploy and integrate playbooks with existing infrastructure.
- Maintain and optimize playbooks to meet new requirements.
- Troubleshoot Ansible errors and ensure reliability.
- Document thoroughly and conduct code reviews.
- Support dev teams in writing new Ansible functions and maintaining existing ones.
Main requirements
- Expertise in orchestration platform management across private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
- Hands-on with: APIs
- CI/CD (e.g. GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker, AWX, Morpheus)
- Advanced skills in Ansible for automating infrastructure and orchestration tasks.
- Windows/Linux admin experience.
- Knowledge of: Databases & SQL
- Powershell, Bash, Shell scripting
- Experience with: ITIL workflows (e.g. ServiceNow)
- VMware (private cloud)
- Azure (public cloud)
- Agile collaboration with IT teams
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
