TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (BTA) IN THE FIELD OF MOLECULAR BIOLOGY (M/F/DIV)

The Department of Cellular Biophysics (Prof. Dr. Joachim P. Spatz) is looking for a technical assistant (BTA) or laboratory technician in the field of molecular biology for the Stuttgart location (later Heilbronn location).
YOUR TASKS

• Direct collaboration with PhD students and postdocs on cutting edge research
• Recombinant protein purification and protein isolation from natural resources, e.g. red blood cells
• Cloning, amplification and transfection of plasmids
• Support the organization of biochemistry and cell culture laboratories
• Support the management of research and data infrastructure

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Completed vocational training as a technical assistant (BTA), laboratory technician in molecular biology, biochemistry or biotechnology, or comparable scientific training
• Practical laboratory experience in biochemistry, cell culture and protein purification
• Preferably experience with the planning and execution of cloning procedures
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, high flexibility and team spirit
• Independent, goal-oriented, analytical way of working
• Very good written and oral communication skills in German and English
• Willingness to acquire knowledge in new areas and to contribute creatively to the further development of the research focus
